With a musical history going back nearly 20 years on piano and 15 years on guitar, it kinda makes you wonder why it took so long for Bill Williams to record a CD that’s completely piano solo. Going mostly with hymns and with two original pieces, this CD, simply titled ‘Solo Piano’ is “some of the most beautiful piano music I have heard in my life” Bill states; “the two songs on this CD that I wrote myself; ‘Piano Sonata in A minor’ and ‘Untitled’; were a lot of fun to record. The rest are just arrangements of hymns that I really loved and also ones that my dear mother really enjoyed. My main inspiration for recording this was drawn from my mother’s death in March of 2008, and I felt that I had to do this as a final thank you to her for all she has done for me and for her undying love for me.” You can tell that this is an emotional piece of work from start to finish.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their measuring line goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
